About
The Story Behind the Work
I'm a PhD candidate in Health Implementation Science at the University of Queensland, supervised by Professor Lauren Ball and Isaac Koomson. My research focuses on the implementation of low-sodium salt substitutes for cardiovascular disease prevention — bridging the gap between what we know works and what actually reaches communities.
Before this, I transitioned from rehabilitation therapy to health economics, building expertise in discrete choice experiments and implementation science methodologies. This interdisciplinary journey shapes how I approach every problem: with multiple mental models and a commitment to rigorous thinking.
Alongside my academic work, I founded Wayne Insight Spring — a consulting firm that helps high-net-worth Chinese families navigate the complex landscape of international medical education. Having experienced China's high-pressure education system firsthand, I believe in helping families make better decisions, not just secure admissions.
My approach is influenced by Charlie Munger's multidisciplinary thinking, Wittgenstein's analytical philosophy, and a deep Buddhist commitment to acting with integrity and compassion.
